How routes are created
Routes are assembled around a clear theme, a manageable duration and streets that contribute to the experience.
Selection process
- Choose a coherent local theme and a limited set of meaningful stops.
- Review practical stop orders for west, north, east and central approaches where useful.
- Add shaping waypoints only when a specific street materially improves the drive.
- Keep waypoint counts conservative so exported routes remain usable.
- Review parking notes, likely access constraints and route logic before publication.
Limitations
DriveLocally does not geocode arbitrary addresses, calculate a mathematically optimal route or guarantee a specific road. Google Maps can recalculate because of traffic, closures or platform behaviour. Durations exclude travel from the user's origin into Toronto.
Review dates
Each route page displays its latest editorial review month. Drivers must still verify current signs, closures, access and weather before departure.
